What is Pizzanet?

Pizzanet is a Finnish platform that brings pizzerias together in one place. Restaurants get a free website with menu and ordering features. Pizzanet serves as a search portal — restaurants handle their own deliveries and customer service.

Why Pizzanet?

Wolt charges restaurants 20–30% on every order, eating into already thin margins. The dilemma is real: without the app you're invisible, but inside it every dish sold barely turns a profit. Customers end up paying higher prices too.

A Fair Alternative

Pizzanet is a Finnish, restaurant-friendly alternative. The platform is funded through advertising, and we charge only a 5% commission on online payments. Everything else is free.

Service fee €40 order Restaurant gets
Wolt 20–30% €8–12 in fees ~€28–32
Pizzanet 5% €2.00 in fees €38.00

Pizzanet only charges a service fee on online payments. No fees on cash payments.

For customers this means lower prices, because restaurants don't need to raise prices to cover massive commissions.

How It Works

Restaurants sign up for free and get their own page on Pizzanet. Menus and contact details are managed directly in the browser. Customers discover restaurants via search, map, or the directory and order straight from the restaurant.

Payments

Pizzanet supports multiple payment methods. Online payments are processed securely through Stripe and go directly to the restaurant's own Stripe account. Money does not pass through Pizzanet.

Payment Methods

Orders can be paid in the following ways:

  • Online payment (card, MobilePay) — charged at checkout
  • Cash at the door or on pickup

Pricing for Restaurants

The platform is free to use. Fees apply only to online payments:

  • Pizzanet commission: 5% of the order total
  • Stripe's service fee: approximately 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction.

Example: A €40 order → Pizzanet commission €2.00 → Stripe fee approx. €0.85 → the restaurant receives approx. €37.15.

No fees apply to cash payments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Pizzanet is the platform that facilitates orders. The sales contract is between the customer and the restaurant. The restaurant is responsible for food quality and delivery. Pizzanet collects online payments and transfers them to the restaurant after deducting its fee.

FAQ

When are funds transferred to the restaurant?

Payments go directly to the restaurant's Stripe account. Stripe transfers funds to the restaurant's bank account automatically, usually once a week. Money does not pass through Pizzanet.

What if the restaurant declines an order?

The customer receives a full refund and neither party is charged.

Who sends the receipt?

Pizzanet sends an email confirmation that serves as a receipt. The restaurant may provide an additional receipt on delivery.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled directly between the restaurant and the customer. Pizzanet's commission is not refunded.
